Vader Sound was started by father-and-son team Paul and Billy Smith.
We are a family-run business, built on a shared love of music and over 25 years of experience working alongside world-class music industry brands.
Partnering with Music Industry brands, we develop standout products, promote and grow their brand presence in UK and across Europe.
We are proud members of the MIA - Music Industries Association, and supporters of the NAMM Show.
Our Story
In 2025, after dedicating 25 years to a successful career in the music industry, Paul made the pivotal decision to launch his own independent business together with his son Billy.
Built on industry knowledge, long-term business relationships and motivated by a desire for creative freedom, they had the vision to start a company which could develop and grow.
You may wonder why Vader Sound?
Vader Sound started as a casual conversation between us when we were trying to think of a name for our new business venture. Then, after getting side tracked talking about Star Wars, the word Vader came up. It immediately stood out.
Vader is one of the most iconic characters in film history. The word Vader also means "Father" in Dutch. As the most legendary father on screen and with the business being a father-and-son team, it felt like the perfect fit!
That is how Vader Sound was born - a name that reflects our love of music and the family bond at the heart of everything we do.
